That it took until Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase over 300, regaining their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the bowling attack that have sported the yellow jersey over the last half-century.

She got to fifty in 35 deliveries - her quickest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 deliveries while she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three big hits.

When she was removed the team needed 66 additional runs at run per delivery - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the confidence to do that now," continued Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, if we do, we are confident we can achieve it."

That comment will be the ultimate thing competing nations at this World Cup should hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this triumph succeeding success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite struggling at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a meeting with longtime competitors England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may well be secure.
